We are happy to announce that we recently became providers of Sterishoe, the Ultraviolet Shoe Sanitizer. This new technology is the one of the safest and most effective ways to sanitize the inside of shoes.

 What is it?
The SteriShoe® ultraviolet shoe sanitizer is the first product that safely and effectively sanitizes the inside of shoes by using germicidal ultraviolet (UVC) light. It is designed for people who have athlete's foot (tinea pedis), toenail fungus (onychomycosis), diabetes, chronic shoe odor, and people who are concerned about general hygiene. Each human foot has more than 250,000 sweat glands and sweats up to eight ounces per day. This sweat causes your shoes to become breeding grounds for the fungus and bacteria that cause toenail fungus, athlete's foot, and odor.

Who should use the Sterishoe® ultraviolet shoe sanitizer?
Everyone! People with nail fungus, athlete's foot, diabetes, bad shoe odor, and people who want to take better care of their feet. Think about it: we wash our clothes, but we do nothing for our shoes. Human feet sweat up to half a pint per day, per foot! The Sterishoe® shoe sanitizer allows us to finally clean the inside of our shoes.

What if I am already treating my nail fungus or athlete's foot?
Use the Sterishoe® ultraviolet shoe sanitizer in conjunction with your other treatment. Oral and topical treatments don't address the microorganisms in your shoes. Fungi are very resilient and can live in your shoe as spores, even if you don't wear a shoe for months. A spore is like a seed. Once you start to wear your shoes again, the perspiration and heat from you foot will cause the spores to grow. The Sterishoe® ultraviolet shoe sanitizer destroys the fungi and other microorganisms, including spores, inside shoes providing a healthier environment for feet. Ultraviolet shoe sanitizer destroys bacteria as well;  no bacteria, no odor!

How does the Sterishoe® ultraviolet shoe sanitizer work?
The Sterishoe® ultraviolet shoe sanitizer emits germicidal ultraviolet light or UVC into the interior of shoes. UVS is the same technology that has been used in hospitals, water treatment systems, and air purification systems for decades. The light in the Sterishoe® shoe sanitizer has a peak frequency of 253.7UVC, which is the most germicidal because it disrupts microorganisms' molecular bonds, destroying  99.9%  of the microorganisms. Shoe odor is caused by bacteria and we have verified that the Sterishoe® ultraviolet shoe sanitizer destroys bacteria as well;  no bacteria, no odor!

How is this better than using a spray or powder in my shoes?
Because the Sterishoe® shoe sanitizer uses germicidal UVC light to destroy microorganisms, only the dead microorganisms remain inside your shoes once the light is turned off, which are better than chemicals. Since there is no way to wash the inside of your shoes, any chemicals you put inside them will fill the cushioning and subject your feet to a chemical bath.

How do I use the Sterishoe® shoe sanitizer?
It's simple and safe - put the Sterishoe® shoe sanitizer into your shoe, connect the AC power adaptor, and press the on button. The Sterishoe® shoe sanitizer will run for 45 minutes and then a timer will automatically turn it off. After that, you can remove it from your shoe or leave it in there, like a standard shoe tree, to help support the shape of your shoe. It's that simple!

Do not wait another day. Like your clothes, your shoes need to be cleaned and sanitized for the sake of your feet. Call us now to order your Sterishoe, or buy them on your visit for only $140.00!
