Last night the Los Angeles Lakers became the 2019-2020 NBA Champions. Lead by Lebron James and Anthony Davis the team made history in multiple ways. They added another title to one of the great franchises in American sports and brought honor to the late L.A. Laker Kobe Bryant. They did this in a season that was interrupted and transformed by a global pandemic and social unrest. All of the players were forced to play in an isolation bubble in order to eliminate cases of Covid 19. At the end of the season, despite massive testing volume, the NBA bubble miraculously tallied ZERO COVID-19 cases. In addition to their achievement in pandemic control the NBA bravely brought the movement of social justice front-and-center, providing a world wide platform to promote positive change. The Lakers and the entire league brought the world joy and positivity in a trying time.
