Let us introduce ourselves. We are NuLife Med. We are an in-home concierge service company that your physician utilizes to aid patients with surgical recovery and/or acute injuries.
Prior to your surgery or immediately following your visit to your physician for an acute injury, a NuLife Med representative will be contacting you to set up a time to deliver the equipment to your home or place of rehabilitation. The visit will last 30 to 45 minutes. It is important to prevent discomfort to avoid complications. That is why your physician has prescribed NuLife Med and our Ortho Save TM system to aid in your recovery, help control swelling, and reduce pain resulting in a shorter recovery length, while lowering your risk of developing a blood clot (DVT).
NuLife Med will be providing you with the portable Ortho Save TM system. It is the size of a computer hard drive and is connected to a body wrap that is placed over the affected area. Unlike ice-based systems, the Ortho Save TM system circulates refrigerated water through the wrap and intermittently fills the wrap with air to improve the effectiveness of the treatment. Additionally, you may receive deep vein thrombosis (DVT - blood clot) prevention therapy as well. If so, the NuLife Med representative will be providing you additional wraps for your feet or calves. These wraps provide compression to keep your blood circulating while you are less active during your recovery.
Your NuLife Med representatives will also explain our claims filing process and assist you in filling out necessary insurance paperwork. One of our claims filing affiliates will be handling the claims process with your insurance company. Our affiliates accept most private insurances, and we work with you in advance so there are no unexpected costs for this treatment. Please direct all claims related questions for this service to NuLife Med and not your physician’s office.
