Going Back to School

As we approach the middle of summer it is time for many to begin thinking of going back to school.  This means shopping for notebooks, new clothes, backpacks and the like.  But, it is also a great time to consider getting all of your doctor appointments done before the hectic fall activities begin. 

We usually recommend an annual orthotic evaluation.  For kids, we strongly recommend doing so prior to the start of the school year.  It's a good time to get your orthotic inserts checked for wear-and-tear, fit and functionality. Over time, if too worn, the device can lose its efficacy. Our annual evaluation is not only a good idea, but an important visit that can prevent future issues. 
 
Other common issues include ingrown nails, fungal infections and shoe gear evaluations.  We are always here and happy to provide preventative and or acute treatment for these issues.  Call today to see Dr. Vieira for evaluation of your children or even yourself before fall is upon us.
