Dr. Junaid Akbar is a highly skilled and compassionate podiatrist who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his patients. Originally from Pakistan and raised in New York City, Dr. Akbar combines his global perspective with an in-depth understanding of diverse patient needs. He earned his undergraduate degree from New York University (NYU) before completing his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM).
 
Dr. Akbar further honed his expertise during his rigorous forefoot and rearfoot residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, where he received comprehensive training in both conservative and surgical treatments for a wide range of foot and ankle conditions. He holds board qualifications from the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) in both forefoot and rearfoot surgery, ensuring his patients receive the highest level of care and precision.
 
A dedicated advocate for patient well-being, Dr. Akbar specializes in sports medicine, orthotic management, bunions, hammertoes, limb salvage, wound care, and regenerative treatments, offering both non-invasive and surgical solutions tailored to individual needs. His approach centers on compassionate care, focusing on the patient, and ensuring the most effective treatments are provided.
 
Dr. Akbar is committed to continual growth and excellence in his field, having completed numerous advanced training courses and participated in leading conferences within podiatric medicine.
